Apply to Become a Manus Mentor

Our mentors train hundreds of first year students in MakerLodge and many other MIT students, faculty, and staff in The Deep and Metropolis! Each Mentor commits 4 hours every week – 2 hours running training and 2 hours keeping the shop open, helping other students and performing basic shop maintenance tasks.

Mentors receive:

  • Subsidized materials for their own projects
  • Priority access to advanced training and making-related classes run by Project Manus
  • Access to our makerspaces 24/7 outside of trainings to work on their own projects

Apply below to join our mentoring community. We typically onboard new mentors at the beginning of each semester.
